My instagram is @okane_pit. My rhd gen1 22t/20k legacy isn't ready but maybe next year. This year I submit to you my 3.0r swapped 09 outback.
The car started off as an 09 2.5se outback with a 4eat. I Bought a wrecked 09 3.0r sedan and swapped everything into it during 2020, making it a 3.0r/si drive 5eat outback WITHOUT a sunroof. Everything from the engine/trans, suspension, subframes (no more subframe spacers for ob ride height), wiring, auto hvac, cluster....EVERYTHING. I had to have a custom trans crossmember made to adapt from the 4eat holes in the trans tunnel to secure the longer 5eat, but aside from that, i did all the work myself.
My outback has BBS RE875's (same wheels as the S402 but were custom ordered in a gunmetal color), bilstein suspension, lgt brakes all around with EBC slotted rotors, 09 obxt hood, 05 lgt wagon roof rails custom painted and powdered, mesh grille, custom painted interior trim, k2 gear shift knob, prova si drive knob, jdm non autodimming rear view mirror with prova yellow glass and STi mirror cover, 3.0r side blinker mirrors with prova yellow glass, GR STi steering wheel, jdm tail lights, jdm genome front strut bar, jdm rear led fog light with eudm wiper/light stalks with the rear fog light function, 08 lgt front leather seats, 05 lgt wagon rear leather seats, and jdm Subaru oem 3.0 grounding kit.
Next to be installed will be wilwood 6/4pot brakes, jdm hatch spoiler with real k2 gear extention, cusco sway bars, piaa fog lights in the grille, jdm double din radio bezel/hvac and more.
I want the car to look fairly stock but to people that actually know what they are looking at to be able to tell its had a lot of work done to it.
On a side note, I feel the "00-present" legacy/outback class should be broken down into "00-09" and "10-present". It'd give older cars a chance to go against each other vs going against a brand new wilderness ob. Plus 00-09 are more similar and 10-present are similar to themselves.
