Car Description:
I am the 3rd owner of this 2008 Subaru Impreza 2.5i. This car is considered a base model in the Subaru community. The car had originally steel wheels, which I swapped to BRZ wheels. I have to say, it definitely makes a difference, even though I could get better wheels. The goal for my car is to make it look at best as possible without breaking the bank...hehe yeah right! Tell that to my wife. I have completely overhauled the interior. It used to be full blown tan, now its completely different. I ripped apart everything and swapped all interior pieces from a STI, door panels, seats, steering wheel, dash, center console, carpet, everything! I wrapped some of the interior dash bezels with 3M carbon fiber vinyl, including the steering wheel buttons bezels. I also paint matched arm rests and center console bezels and shift knob. I added sound deadening all around the interior prior to installing the trim. I'm a huge car audio fan so I wanted to make sure I could get the cleanest and quietest driving experience. I custom wrapped all pillars pieces with VIP leather stitching, including the read deck and installed a suede headliner. I added a complete Rockford Fosgate sound system, T1000 for my two 12" P3s and a T600 for my door speakers (mids and highs). The sound on this car is incredible. I have a Pioneer DMH-WC5700NEX to power it all up. Ran complete Sky High Car Audio power ( 0 awg to 4 awg dual amp cables and 16 awg speaker wires. To keep up with the bass, I installed a DC Power Engineering 270A alternator with 3 XS D3400 Power batteries to make sure I dont run out of juice. I have a SMD VM-1 to make sure I keep an eye on the voltage when I slamming it down. For my door speakers, I have T1 6.5" components all around. They make music sound super crispy and clean. I tuned my amps myself with a SMD CC1 and SMD DD1 to make sure I have my gains and freq. setup just right. All of the work done in this car was mostly done by me. One of the biggest challenges with the car audio was installing the steering wheel controls since this car didn't come equip from the factory, but with a bit of research and a few parts, I was able to make them work, pretty proud of that. I also installed XK glow interior/exterior lightning for some night time lighting accents to really bring out the ground effects and the whole overall look of thE car. Moving to the exterior, it has a JDM Chargespeed front bumper, Duraflex side skirts and rear bumper. Don't make fun of me using Duraflex, its challenging to find any bodykits for narrowbodies. I had my carefully painted to make sure all the paint blended well with the new body kit. I also a slapped on Flow Designs lip kit from Australia. This car is over 10yrs old, but it definitely doesn't drive or look like one. Im in the process of upgrading my front headlights with Circuit Demon Stage 3 headlights that will be ready by the event. my rear headlights are blacked out custom lights (forgot the brand) but really make the car look more aggressive. Moving towards the engine, not to much here since its NA, but it does have a few mods like a COBB lightweight pulley, Cosmo CAI, STI power steering and a 2015 STI steering rack (yes I retrofitted them and even replaced the hydraulic lines) for exhaust I had to get a custom mid pipe since I’m NA and I don’t have a turbo due tot he Cusco braces getting in the way. I had a custom header made by Inferno fabrications so really being out the Subie rumble. It has a high flow cat, because I still need some back pressure, however I removed the 2nd cat and installed a Vibrant resonator to smooth out the high pitch raspy frequencies and then installed a Nameless Performance catback exhaust to keep the deep lows and cut off any of the high frequencies m. It made a huge difference. I make WRXs jealous because their exhausts don’t sound as good as mine. You’ll have to hear it for yourself and be the judge.
For suspension, I have Cusco crossmember braces, anti-lift kit, H braces, and front strut braces. I also have a Superpro 24mm front sway bar and 22MM rear sway bar with their end links and also upgraded all bushings. I plan to put an Airlift suspension, once my wife lets me lol Below are the list of all parts/mods I have installed. I user this car as daily but would like start showing it since its more presentable now lol Hope you enjoy some of the pics! Thank you for your time!
