Car Description:
This is a 1982 Subaru Brat DL. It has a 6" SJR body lift. It sits on white spoked US wheels wrapped in 31x10.5.15 Cooper Evolution M/T. I have a Magnaflow Cat with custom exhaust tucked up in the drive train tunnel. The front struts are stock and the rear shocks are 24" Rancho RS5000 series.
I run the stock EA81 4 cylinder engine but have upgraded the single range 4wd to a dual rang 4wd. I have gone through then entire engine. New seals, water pump, carburetor rebuild, clutch, EGR valve and, all new vacuum tubes. The rack and pinion has been replaced as well as the inner and outer tie rods. She has new brakes all around.
I have been focusing on the mechanics of the vehicle so it is in need a a paint respray. The body is relatively straight for a 40 year survivor. Only minor dings and one small dent on the drivers side front fender. The amazing thing about this car is that it is rust free! I still have to original rear jump seats in the bed. I under coated th car and sprayed in a new bed liner paint. She runs like dream however with the stock engine and large tires she is slow on the road. She is a fine specimen for this model and year. I hope that I can show her off as she is a rare beauty.
