Justin Palmer's 2005 Baja Sport

Car Description:
Full JDM legacy front-end swap, including the side mirrors EJ20 engine swap as well. Camlocker tool box design for the Baja's I replicated the amp research dirt bike rack that was a concept for Sema in the 2000s. The 4 lights on top are 2 sets of OEM sport activity lights that I built a wire harness for. I have also swapped the spare tire for a matching full-size tire, as it fits with minimal modifications. The center console has a Subaru 3 switch panel holding the sport activity light switch, as well as a switch for the headlight adjustments and a rear fog light.

Several years ago, when Hurricane Harvey came through Louisiana while visiting family, we used my baja to clear roads and haul debris. Being AWD, crossing curbs, or going through flooded patches while dragging a tree didn't slow down the baja at all.

The plan for this baja is to find a turbo donor and swap out the N/A engine and drivetrain. And build a moderately powerful dirtbike support vehicle that holds extra fuel, a small air compressor mounted in the tool box, as well as essentials for a weekend trip away from home amenities.

My baja doesn't push a lot of power, and too many is ugly, but it has never left me stranded and has even recovered my Jeep when needed. Just about anywhere I go, someone always asks me about it. I have never considered entering it into a show, but seeing that another Baja owner will be entering their car, I figured why not?
