Factory Five 818s built using a 2003 Subaru WRX donor. 2006 STi longblock with forged internals. Mid-engined, RWD, under 2,000 lbs. Factory Five created a component car that is based on the Subaru platform. Aside from the body panels and frame, this is essentially a Subaru. Engine & transmission are moved behind the driver's seat, and a collar is slipped in where the center diff used to be, making it drive from the front axles (which now power the rear tires). This lightweight, Subaru-powered vehicle, leverages all of the strengths of the Subaru engine in a lighter and more nimble frame.
