Car Description:
This is my first Subaru, called Samantha, as well as my first car! I wanted to make it unique and it sure does turn heads. Originally, I had wanted a Crosstrek, but those were significantly higher in price. So, I settled for a 2019 Impreza 5DR Base. It wasn't pretty and I felt like a parent driving around. So I had to change that. In the beginning, I saw that I could have gone in one of two directions: speed-style build, or overland. I chose overland because I love the outdoors, camping, and exploring. When people first see Samantha, the think "Who lowered their Crosstrek?!" Not quite... I wanted to make this supremely unique, get people's attention, and start conversation. Whenever I'm out in public somewhere, someone always asks me about her; "What does this do?" "How do you control all those lights?" "Why didn't you buy a Crosstrek?!" I enjoy the conversations and each unique interaction I have. Some people love it, some people question it, and some people hate it. Love it or hate it, she's my Samantha and I made her into what I love (don't take that mindset into relationships though). I’ve also become recognized for Samantha in my community. The children in my neighborhood scream “Hot wheel car, hot wheel car!” every time they see it on their way to school and my way to work.
